AO Targets are made from a proprietary rubber compound developed specifically for self-healing use. The formula combines vulcanized rubber with recycled tires for maximum durability and performance.
-
Each shot passes cleanly through the target, and the rubber material seals itself instantly. Just spray on a fresh coat of paint and each new shot will leave a clearly visible mark, making it easy to track your hits during training. This combination of self-healing and visual feedback makes AO Targets a reusable, safe, and effective solution.

Our targets routinely handle over 3,000 rounds in testing. Longevity depends on caliber and ammo type — FMJ and round nose rounds extend lifespan, while hollow points, slugs, or wadcutters reduce it.

Yes. These targets are built to withstand rain, snow, heat, humidity, and freezing temps without warping or degrading. We’ve tested them outdoors for over 3 years with no performance loss.

We’ve tested everything from .22 LR up to .300 Win Mag and .458 SOCOM. For best results, we recommend avoiding:
Hollow points
Buckshot or slugs
Wadcutters or flat-nose rounds
These types increase wear and reduce target life.

Nope. Any bright spray paint works. We do recommend white Rustoleum Painter’s Touch 2X for clear shot visibility and easy coverage.
-
No. Unlike steel, AO Targets allow rounds to pass through, eliminating the risk of ricochet or spalling. That’s why they’re ideal for CQB, indoor ranges, and close-range training.
